Bible Cover
I made this bible cover as a request, but I was given free reign on the design and this is what I came up with. She was very pleased. All good….
I wanted to try something new in applique, as sometimes appliques look better “set-in”. So, I just winged it on reverse applique. I’m sure this is a well-known technique, but I figured it out on my own. Oooooh…. some of the things that go through your mind when trying to fall asleep at night.. LOL. Well, this is one of those “things” from last night.

I woke up this morning on 4 hours sleeep, I knew the last thing I should do was take a nap. So…. I found a way to pass my afternoon constructively and meet a need as well. LOL I’m such a great multi-tasker…. NOT. Anywho, here is a checkbook cover that I am very pleased with the stitching.

Stacked Coins & Squares: Part II
Here is the “Stacked Coins 7 Squares” quilt top now with borders attached. Next step? Quilt and binding. I will post another update as I complete each step. Thanks for reading. Sidenote: I may get to make another one in all blues for a friend.

Here is my latest project, called “Stacked Coins & Squares”. I had a stash of fabric I had purchased to go together. Well, the other day, it “called” my with a pattern. I’m really pleased with the way it is coming out. Stay tuned for more pictures of my progress.
